M A F.studio

is the exhibition- and experience-design studio with Martin Sämmer, and Cindy Moorman at the core. They share the belief in the life-changing force of spatial storytelling to inform, inspire and connect tomorrows change makers. And offer a distinct approach to exhibition design by telling stories through well-designed multilayered spatial experiences that push the boundaries.

Martin

is an exhibition designer with over 15 years of international experience in large and small scale exhibition projects. Since 2018 he works as independent creative director, producer and consultant with his network under the name of ‘Martin And Friends’ - MAF.studio.
Before starting his own studio, he worked for a decade at Kossmanndejong where he designed exhibitions in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the United States.
Martin originally studied productdesign at the HFG-Karlsruhe and worked for Marcel Wanders in Amsterdam, Marc Newson in Paris and Studio Domo in Taiwan.
Martin was born in Munich, Germany, has lived in New Zealand, Taiwan ROC, China and France, and is now based in The Netherlands.

Cindy

With a vibrant professional practice as visual artist and a background in education, Cindy has a passion for translating various content into enticing form, personalising complex stories and shaping meaningful encounters. Cindy has put her heart into various content development challenges over the last 12 years. She co-created the concept for ‘Museumhuizen’ for Hendrick de Keyser Monuments, realized exhibitions in eight historical houses as head of Presentation and was Lead Storyteller for the Amsterdam Light Festival in 2022. As interpretive designer for M A F studio, she co-developed concepts for several museum exhibitions and will keep on doing so.

During the entire design and build process, M A F has the creative direction over the complete design. That means that we keep track of and direct the content and design across all parties involved. This ensures that we achieve an integral design, involving all the necessary disciplines.
